Competition T's & C's
1. Introduction
Purpose: These Terms and Conditions are established to provide clear and transparent rules for participants entering our competitions. They ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all by outlining eligibility requirements, entry procedures, prize details, winner selection process, and the responsibilities and liabilities of both participants and the competition organiser.
Agreement: By entering the competition, participants agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions, thereby contributing to the integrity and smooth operation of the competition.
2. Eligibility
Age Requirement: Participants must be 18 years or older.
Location: Competitions are open to residents of South Africa only. Participants must be within the borders of South Africa to receive their prize.
Exclusions: Employees of McMac Pet SA, its affiliates, or any of its suppliers, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
3. Entry Requirements
How to Enter: Competition entry details will be communicated with each competition advertisement and may include entry via social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram), subscribing to email newsletters, or other specified methods.
Entry Limitations: One entry per person, unless otherwise specified. Participants cannot win more than one competition within a 6-month timeframe.
Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by the deadline specified in each competition's requirements.
Entry Eligibility: Only entries meeting all specified requirements will be considered as valid entries.
4. Prizes
Prize Description: Prizes are subject to the competition requirements and may vary based on availability.
Prize Value: As specified in the competition requirements.
Prize Substitution: Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items. McMac Pet SA reserved the right to substitute prize items at its sole discretion due to stock availability or feasibility of the item relative to the winner.
5. Winner Selection
Selection Process: Winners will be selected through a random draw, unless stated otherwise in the competition requirements.
Notification: Winners will be notified via social media or email, depending on the competition requirements, within seven days after the competition ends.
Claiming Prizes: Winners must claim their prize within 48 hours of notification. Failure to do so will result in the selection of an alternate winner. Once a new winner is chosen, the original winner forfeits any claim to the prize.
6. Publicity
Consent: By entering, participants agree to the use of their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
Announcement: Winners may be announced on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, our website, and/or marketing newsletters.
7. Privacy
Data Collection: Information collected from participants is subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act).
Usage: Participant information will be used for competition administration and marketing purposes.
8. General Conditions
Modification: McMac Pet SA reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time.
Disqualification: McMac Pet SA reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent activity.
Liability: McMac Pet SA is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries, or technical issues that may affect entry submissions. Social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram are not involved in the administration of these competitions and cannot be held liable for any aspect of the competition.
Minimum Entries: A minimum of 10 separate qualifying entries is required for the competition to proceed. If this number is not achieved, McMac Pet SA reserves the right to cancel the competition or adjust the prize value at its discretion.
